You scan for your friend's location at her class' set of tables. She's sitting at a fairly crowded table, though doesn't seem to be participating in any conversations. You place your tray at one of your class' emptier tables, and head over to your friend.
Since each class is supposed to remain in their own section, you're not exactly allowed to talk with your friend. That's also why she says that you have to stand next to her, instead of sitting down. You've asked a few times to try alternating who visits, but she shot down that idea, saying that you have to visit due to being newer to the school.
When your friend notices you, she makes an obligatory complaint about how crowded you've made the area, but quickly jumps into telling you about recent events. She starts talking about how her classmates don't understand how smart she is, and that they should respect her more. Most of her stories end up being in that vein. She gripes about you as well, telling you that you should just do whatever she says, given how smart she is.
Taking a quick glance at the clock, you realize that there's little time left to eat lunch. You scurry back to your class' tables, and sit down where you left your tray. You wolf down you lunch, finishing up your milk carton right as the bell rings. You dispose of your trash, and line up with the rest of you class to leave the cafeteria.
